Ten Minutes By Tractor
Established in 1997, their initial three vineyards were ten minutes apart by tractor. Today, their six vineyards with different aspects, slopes, soils, altitude and winds produce some of the best pinot noirs and chardonnays in the region.
With continual improvement and innovation at the epicentre of everything they do, we’ve been returning over the years to continually be amazed. The two-hatted restaurant is worthy of its reputation with a focus on fresh seasonal produce from local growers and their kitchen garden. Designed by Cox Architecture, the luxurious interiors offer a fine dining experience rich in the artefacts of winemaking and terroir. The green rolling hills outside permeates inside with a colour palette of soft muted greens and greys. Exquisite stone, marble and brass is featured to add a touch of luxury and elegance.

An understated and relaxed ambience fills the cellar door and restaurant. During the warmer months, indulge in a casual lunch on the outdoor deck overlooking the vineyard and Mount Eliza. The cosy sofas in front of the open fireplace is the perfect spot to devour their pinots over winter.
With a winemaking philosophy to ‘craft wines in the spirit of the season and the vineyard’, Yabby Lake continues to produce some exceptional chardonnays and pinot noirs. Their renowned Single Vineyard range sources the best fruit grown on specific blocks across the vineyard. We have a soft spot for the Block 1 Pinot Noir from the Single Block range which have been outstanding the past few years.

Tucked away is this charming guesthouse and workers cottage for those seeking a private escape. Surrounded by 10 acres of nature and a giant sequoia tree, this is a peaceful retreat.
Originally 3 separate cottages dating back to the 1890’s and 1950’s, it is beautifully restored with a country chic interior. A sense of calm and space is immediately felt with the simple but purposeful design.
