Most people think of IKEA when it comes to Swedish design but the home of meatballs and ABBA has much more to offer. Unlike the Nordic environment that’s often harsh, cold and dark, Scandinavian interiors are full of life. Practical and minimalist, the Swede’s have a passion for organic modernist aesthetics fuelled by warm earthy tones and traditional craftsmanship.

Simple wooden tables, functional couches and whitewashed walls are all part of the Nordic look. It’s very much a less is more approach, with wide open spaces, lots of light and minimal clutter key to achieving this classic style.
