Fun Fact: Osaka is a massive Pokémon fan
The Japanese are all about minimalism and follow a concept known as Ma. The theory behind Ma is your home should be a balance between open spaces on one side and furniture on the other. This is why traditional Japanese homes are often sparsely decorated with expansive living spaces.
Bamboo and wooden fixtures are routine while colours are soft and muted, with an accent wall often a drawcard. The Japanese have much love for nature and decorate their homes with plants such as palms, orchids and bonsai. Water is also a key element so don’t be afraid to go all out on a tranquil tub to relax in after a hard days work.
