Abigail Crompton knows that the only way to truly grow is to learn from our neighbours. It was this important lesson that drove her establishment of Third Drawer Down, a shop intended to promote artistic collaboration. In doing so, Crompton has developed a home for expression — not solely for creators, but for those who enjoy their products too.
Her store brings out the weird and wacky in us all. Our true colours have never shone so bright — through quirky homewares (who would've thought). Filled with artists such as Louise Bourgeois, David Bromley, Lucy Folk and Tom Dixon, Third Drawer Down Studio is as endearing as your local art gallery. Each piece pulls us in, promoting conversation about gender, race and social norms — or, more simply, the funky tea towels we keep in the third drawer down.
